I was born in the İslahiye district of Gaziantep. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education in İslahiye. In 1981, I received the Atatürk 100th Year Award. After graduating from İslahiye High School, I entered Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1982 and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1988.

In September 1988, I started working as a research assistant in the Department of General Surgery at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine after passing the Medical Specialization Exam. I completed my specialization training in 1994. To fulfill my mandatory service, I worked as a general surgeon in the Orhangazi district of Bursa.

In 1994, I began working as a fellow in the Plastic Surgery Clinic at University College London in England. Here, I worked with internationally recognized figures in plastic surgery and also conducted research on wound healing. I presented at national and international congresses on the treatment of diabetic and non-healing wounds using maggots and negative pressure therapy. As a result of this work, I joined the plastic surgery training staff in England, where I performed numerous surgeries in micro surgery, pediatric plastic surgery, breast reconstruction surgery, hand surgery, burn and wound care, head and neck surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and aesthetic surgery alongside many internationally recognized specialists at Cambridge University Addenbrooke's Hospital, Chester Countess Hospital, Sheffield University Northern General Hospital, Nottingham University, Nottingham City Hospital, Manchester University Wythenshawe Hospital, Derby University Hospital, and Belfast. I worked as a consultant plastic surgeon in Liverpool.

In 2002, I became the first Turkish plastic surgeon to pass the European Plastic Surgery Board exam. In 2005, I received a gold medal as the best candidate in the exam conducted by the European Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand, which included 28 European countries. In 2007, I received a plastic surgery equivalency certificate from the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. That same year, I worked as a micro surgery fellow at Chang Gung Hospital in Taiwan. In 2008, I started working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine.

In 2012, I received the title of Associate Professor. Here, I contributed to the training of assistants primarily through micro surgery and reconstruction, and I served as the head of the department. In 2013, I began working in the associate professorship position at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. In 2018, I was appointed to a professorship position. I have participated as a speaker in many national and international congresses.

I have expertise in four areas: three main fields (General Surgery, Plastic Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery) and one subspecialty (Hand Surgery).

I have published 30 scientific articles in national journals, 25 scientific publications in international journals, and I have presented at over 100 scientific meetings as a speaker. I serve as a scientific advisor for many international journals.

I am a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the British Medical Association, the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive Surgery, the Turkish Society of Aesthetic Surgery, the Turkish Society of Hand Surgery, and the Turkish Society of Microsurgery.

In 2022, I left Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and opened my own aesthetic plastic surgery clinic, where I am still working
